It has been a while that we had gone for trekking. Trekking in rains is very special, I realized this during my last years Mahuli Trek. So my office group(claudi, manish, yashi, rupam, sanjay, raju n me) decided to trek Tikona. We hired a vehicle to take us to Gavhande village start of Trek.

As usual i got up early around 5.00 am, had nice cold water bath, filled by camel back with water/snacks and set out to catch BEST bus. I was suppose to meet the remaining gang at Powai. As usual girls made us wait for around 30 min, and we started our commute to Gavhande village.

We took a break on highway to feast on Vada Pav. Finally we started our trek around 11.00 am. Weather was pleasant and it looked like we might get rain showers on our way to top. As usual we had few photo stops till it started drizzling.

As we started our climb it started raining heavy. It’s always great fun trekking in rains. After around 2 hours, we reached on top. It was an amazing view. Wind and rain became more strong so we decided to start our descend. I packed my camera and kept it inside my camel bag. Few of us had good falls coming down as rains made the path very slippery. Finally after an hour we reached our vehicle. I decided to click few photos. So i opened my bag only to see my camera was completely submerged in water that had accumulated in my bag. This trek turned out to be the most expensive trek for me. 🙂
