Tata Indicom supply drivers along with photon+ device, but it didn’t work for me on my Mac (Snow Leopard). So I had to manually download it from web.
You need following packages:
1. HUAWEI_UMTS_Dashboard_MACB301D 11SP00C03(ISO).zip (Driver) – required
– Once you install above driver it will automatically add a device “HUAWEIMobile-Modem” in your Network Preferences. Next step is to configure the device.
Configuration: Default
Telephone Number: #777
Account Name: internet
Password:internet
“Apply” your changes and then click “Connect”.
2. MobileConnectDriver(4.15.00.00).zip (Software) – optional
– You can also use this software for connecting to internet. This software gives you more details like signal strength, data transfered/downloaded etc.
Tata Photon + Huawei is working for Mac OSX 10.6

problems with configuration for tata photon on my macbook pro with snow. the tatan headoffice in panjim is useless so i would be very happy if somebody can help me here to find the driveres and what i should do step by step.

Recently i bought Tata Photon + for internet, but it is not working on my mac ( version is 10.6.3 (snow leopard) ). HUAWEIMobile-Modem is automatically installed on my mac when I connected that device.. as said in this blog i entered Account name and password and I clicked on connect .. but it is not working. Its is showing an alert that “connection is not established on this PPP server “. Can anyone please guide me in this regard ..

For me HUAWEI_UMTS_Dashboard_MACB301D 11SP00C03(ISO).zip (Driver) installed 3 drivers.
So you should try with other driver

Thanks for the response. Yesterday I finished my installation process on windows machine successfully, now I am able to access the internet on my mac with these options:
Configuration: Default
Telephone Number: #777
Account Name: internet
Password:internet.
Then I created my own profile as said in the prepaid form:
Configuration: Default
Telephone Number: #777
Account Name: 924*******@photon.ttsl.in
Password:internet
but was unable to access the internet 🙁
Will try installing this HUAWEI_UMTS_Dashboard_MACB301D 11SP00C03(ISO).zip on my mac. I called customer care guys now .. they said they will send a tech guy to my place .. lets hope for the best ..

Another way, with the Epi Valley Modem. You will see, apart from the aut install, a folder that says Drivers for Mac. Install then install Photon. Start Photon from Applications, but log in from the Telephone Icon on the Toolbar on top, no need to open Network Preferences.

The ‘internet’ password is not working for my Mac Air its says contact ur admin .I have tried the step above and came to the level where it requires phone number , User Id and password but could get pass through this stage . is there anything that ia m missing ?
Hi. I have a Pro and I recently purchased a Tata Photon Plus. It was working fine till one month back, but now all of a sudden “the connect button is not working on the dialer. It shows that the signal received is of full strength. I have tried installing and uninstalling the device several times, but still no change. Also, I think that this is the next version of the device, so it does not show a Huwaei device when I connect up.
@ Abhishek I have not check these instructions on Mac Air, but should be same. Now once you connect usb stick for the first time it should prompt you to install drivers and then you can connect using above credentials.
@Iyer You might want to try deleting all the drivers and allo mac to detect the drivers again and then configure.

hey, i wanted to know from where can we download the file.
When I tried usb stick on my new mac it automatically detected drivers. I think it comes with the usb stick. So you don’t need to download any extra drivers.

Guys I’m trying to get a new imac to work with the photon – the Huawei driver I’ve downloaded and installed isn’t putting in a modem option at Network prefs as mentioned. The file I downloaded unzipped to reveal a folder called MAC V100R00…etc which I ran and its installing a MobileConnect device (round green icon) instead onto the machine that I’m not clear what to do with…

Sorry no idea abt 10.4 version, as far as I can remember you will need to install extra drivers etc.

Once you open Mobile Partner there will be option to connect, make sure you have sufficient signal for it to work.

Yes, I am on same version and it worked for me. Once you connect to your usb drive system will automatically detect drivers etc.

@shiva, I don’t think you need to install any drivers on 10.6.x, when you connect usb stick it will directly detect drivers and will be installed.

information useful in addition to installing in the
following manner:
1. Show Package Contents of “Mobile Partner.app”
2. Navigate to Contents/Resources
3. Double click MobilePartner.mpkg
4. The installation might fail, but the drivers will be
installed.
5. Follow the method mentioned in the blog article
above applying them in Network Preferences to your
modem, and
6. Connect!

LION users’ – I use a EC1260 TATA Photon plus dongle, manufactured by HUAWEI and was looking for a driver for my new MAC LION OS. I tried the following and it works fine.
Downloaded the file after doing a search in goggle – “Huawei_universal_425_05.pkg ”
& installed, then inserted the Dongle and voila it worked. Hope this is helpful.

One of my friend was able to configure tata photon+ on OS X Lion without any issues.
Steps:
– Connect photon+
– when you browse you will see a zip file, unzip and install the software, Mobile connect.
– that’s it. 🙂
i have the olive device and every time my photon connects after a while my system needs to be restarted….using mac OS X LION V10.7.2…please help
I have tata photon plus prepaid..it was working fine for almost 6 mthns on my mac lion until 3 days before..the signal is there but it says tata photon whiz n unable to connect..i have tried uninstalling and intalling again after restarting my laptop..i have tried recharging just incase if i finished my 10 gb just in 4 days…but to no avail..can u plz help!!
